Alternative I This is a low-impact class exercise program designed to be safe and effective for the active adult. Safe for your back and joints. Includes stretching and flexibility exercises specifically designed for the joints and back. All levels.
Alternative II Compared to Alternative I, this high energy class is for those wanting an intermediate cardio class. Faster pace with high/low impact exercises. All Levels.
Aqua Trekking Basic movement in shallow and/or deep water with intervals of high intensity walking, running, cycling and jumping jacks combined with recovery periods. All Levels.
Water Aerobics/Shallow Water Move all over the pool in this high energy water aerobics class. All exercises performed in this class minimize the stress placed on your joints. Work at your fitness level to burn calories. Abdominal work and stretching included. All Levels.
Deep Water Non-impact cardiovascular exercise in deep water, including deep water intervals, additional abdominal segments, muscle strengthening and toning. Hydro-fit buoyancy belts support you during your work out All Levels.
Interval A high enrgy fat burner! These classes involve short periods of high intensity aerobic moves combined with a short recovery period. An effective way to increase your cardiovascular fitness as well as burn unwanted calories. Abdominal work included. Intermediate and Advanced.
High Intensity This call is for all skill levels! Remember to work at your own pace. Following a traditional format: warm-up and active stretch with fast paced aerobics often including intervals, abs, arm work, strengthening and final stretch. Great basic cardio class! All Levels
Arthritis - Range of Motion A no impact exercise program focusing on the range of motion of all joints with soothing support from the heated indoor pool. Ideal for those suffering from joint bearing diseases and illnesses. Not a Cardio Class/No Props.
Cardio Challenge Burn calories and increase your cardio output in this high energy class. Geared for those wanting to work in deep and shallow water. All Levels.
Total Body Aqua This class focuses on muscle specific exercises. Work on toning and strengthening your upper arms, abdominals, thighs, legs buttocks and upper back. Included is stretching to improve flexibility and conditioning. All Levels.
Deep Water Running Research shows that running 1 mile in water equals the caloric burn of running 2 miles on land. High intensity running and arm combinations give you an upper and lower body workout. All Levels.
Water fitness classes are included in your membership. Registration is not required. Be sure to arrive 5 minutes early to secure a spot. Water fitness class schedules and times are published bi-monthly. Members age 14 and over are welcome in water fitness classes. Above are brief descriptions of our classes. For your convenience, each class has a fitness level recommendation; however, any adult member is welcome in any class and may work at their own pace and fitness level. |
