Wellness Center

Welcome to the Wellness Center! The Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center and Presbyterian Hospital Matthews Wellness Center is a medical resource and information center located within the Aquatics and Fitness Center. It is geared to the special needs of our members and available only to MAFC members.
The Wellness Center offers a full range of Clinical and Support Services and most of these services are included in your membership. To help cover our extended hours, the clinical staff is comprised of (2) on-site Presbyterian nurses. For your convenience appointments can be made starting as early as 8am. Feel free to stop the Wellness Center office for questions, but to secure dedicated time be sure to make an appointment. Monday through Thursday the Wellness Center opens 8am-2pm and 4pm-8pm. On Friday, make your appointment between 9am and 12 noon.

A Registered Nurse, RN since 1980, Tracey Leitner also holds certifications in water fitness, land aerobics and Aqua Arthritis exercise. While at the Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center, she is responsible for providing the medical element to your wellness equation. When at home, she and her husband, Dr. Tommy Leitner of Leitner Urology, are responsible for keeping peace among their 4 children, Tee, Patrick, Lara, and Alex. Tracey's services can include anything from daily blood pressure checks to comprehensive health risk appraisals and be performed on a walk-in basis or with an appointment. While employed by the Aquatic Center since its opening in May of 1998, Tracey and her family have worked and lived in Monroe since 1988.

Sheila Mobley is a registered nurse with over 20 years experience. As one of the Presbyterian Wellness Center nurses, Sheila specializes in weight loss and weight management for MAFC members. While an intricate part to all of the Wellness Center services, Sheila's personal success in losing over 90 pounds develops a direct affinity to MAFC members looking for medical direction and personal motivation. She is an exercise specialist and assists members with workouts in the water or exercise prescriptions in the fitness room. Married for 27 years and the mother of 2 children, Sheila considers her Presbyterian Wellness Center work at the Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center an extension of her family.
